Cartoon image depicting dangerous ladders at sea
Cartoon image depicting the concerns of safety and sea and dangerous ladders. Created on A3 bright white paper using colour pencil

Humorous look at the EU regulations that required headstones to resist a certain level of horizontal force. This mean several headstones being pushed over by councils concerned with the safety aspect of headstones that could fall onto people. A3 Image created using watercolour.

This one was created for all those soon to be grandparents who may have been enjoying the freedom before grandchildren arrive. My somewhat satirical take is based on the premise of escaping the care aspect.

This image was created after a visit to Polperro in Cornwall. Anyone who has been to this quaint seaside village cannot fail to enjoy the antics of drivers who try to go that bit too far. Some streets in the village only being wide enough for hand carts!

Colour pencil on A3 bright what paper. Depicting Percy the Parrot about to inflict a lesson onto a suspect seagull who was venturing after his nuts!

Having seen the large ships that enter the river Fowey and the little Polruan ferry that scuttles across many times a day I had this image of the two almost being on top of each other but both seemingly indifferent to the matter. Watercolour pencil onto 100gsm A3 paper.

I created this image based on the experiences of one holiday trip to Bude. The gulls love to use caravans as some kind of roost. The roof certainly didn’t cut out the sound of their foot steps or antics which could go on for quite some time.

Cartoon image based on the Polruan to Looe bus. The hill into the village is so steep I could easily envisage gulls using using the bus to get a free lift up the hill. Image drawn on 100gsm bright white paper using mixture of pen, coloured pencil and watercolour.

Image loosely based on the Polruan boat yard in Cornwall. Image drawn onto A3 100gsm bright white paper using mixture of pen, coloured pencil and watercolour.

Satirical image centred around bin day in Cornwall. The gulls in cornwall are so adept at getting into waste bins that I took this concept and expanded it into the use of power tools and safe cracking equipment. Image drawn onto 100gsm bright white paper using mixture of pen, coloured pencil and watercolour.
